Eats from Elsewhere is a vicarious food blog with accessible recipes inspired from around the world, often made from scratch. It’s a fusion of delicious flavors that strives to be simple. To be accessible or simple, all of the recipes fall into one of these categories:
- Easy-to-find ingredients
- Budget ingredients
- Make ahead
- 30 minutes or less
- Simple steps
Some recipes are the authentic dish from elsewhere, and many others are fresh takes on global flavors. Some of the recipes are my creations, and others are favorites that I’ve adapted to share with you. You’ll find dishes for vegetarians and for meat-lovers, along with some fantastic baking recipes. All have been tested and tweaked to perfection. I hope you’ll find my recipes as mouth-watering and delicious as I do!

About me
Hi! I’m Kathryn, and I love to try new flavors. I’m an avid cook at home who has trouble following a recipe to the letter. Food has captivated me for a long time, from cooking to gardening to learning about food science, without forgetting to savor every bite. Born and raised in the US, I now live in small-town Normandy with Monsieur the husband and our two kids. At home, we enjoy camembert and crêpes as well as curry and couscous.
With this blog, I want to share recipes with flavors from near and far. I want to share eats from elsewhere.
